There are many ways you can make a gift before the end of the year!

• Online credit card gifts must be completed by 10 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 to be receipted as a gift for the 2025 tax year. Support your favorite program or scholarship today.

• To inquire about other ways of giving, please call 505-313-7600. (See holiday hours below.) If you reach our voice mail, please leave a message and a staff member will call back to assist you in making a gift.

• Send your check to UNM Foundation, 700 Lomas Blvd. NE Building 2, Albuquerque NM 87102. Please be sure:
1) To make your check payable to the “UNM Foundation.”
2) To note in the memo line where you would like your gift directed
3) Your envelope is postmarked by December 31 for credit in the 2025 tax year

Important Update: Beginning December 24, 2025, USPS will postmark mail at regional processing facilities rather than at local drop-off locations. As a result, mail deposited in the final week of December may receive a postmark dated several days later. To ensure your gift is recorded in 2025, please request a manual (local) postmark when dropping off your envelope at your post office.

• Broker-to-Broker Transfer of Securities: Donors wishing to make a gift of securities should allow adequate time prior to year-end, as the date of the gift is the date the securities are received by the Foundation’s broker. Contact Nadina Paisano at 505-313-7625 or our main office at 505-313-7600 for stock transfer instructions.

• Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your IRA: If you wish to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution for the 2025 tax year, please ensure your IRA administrator issues and mails your QCD check by December 31, 2025. The gift must be completed (i.e., the funds must leave your IRA) by December 31 to count for 2025.

If your IRA provider allows you to write checks directly from your IRA checkbook, please send your check to the UNM Foundation early enough for it to be received and processed by December 31, 2025, as the check must clear your IRA account by that date to qualify for 2025.

FOUNDATION HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS

The Foundation will have regular business hours on December 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31. The Foundation will be closed on December 25, 2025 and January 1, 2026.
